Used Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts Fremont

Basic Fuel Types of Forklifts
Forklifts are powered lift trucks which are used in a wide variety of industries to move heavy supplies and items. Forklifts are durable and dependable machines that are necessary tools in construction and warehouse environments. Lift truck models differ depending on the type of work setting and the kind of fuel which is utilized to power the lift truck.

Electricity
Electric powered lift trucks are great for indoor environments, or in places with limited ventilation because they produce no exhaust fumes. They are designed with industrial strength batteries. Because the electric lift truck batteries must be charging, the worksite will require a charging station. The batteries are tough and could be re-charged up to 1,500 times before they need to be replaced. The charging station must be situated in a ventilated area and include an acid spill kit and an emergency eyewash station.

Propane
Liquid propane powered forklifts are commonly utilized in modern industrial operations because propane has several advantages over electric and diesel. Propane models are cleaner to operate than diesel-powered units. There is no down time needed to recharge an industrial battery, and the cost for propane is less compared to the cost of electricity. A forklift propane tank could be easily and quickly refueled by changing out the empty tank with a full tank. Normally an off-site supplier refills the empty tank, making refueling very efficient and safe.

Gasoline and Gas
For rough terrain and outdoor applications, the diesel and gas forklifts are the machines of choice. These machinery are quite common in lumber yards and on construction sites. Their disadvantages include odorous exhaust, relatively high fuel costs and fairly high maintenance requirements. Their benefits include a longer lifespan than other units and reliability in tough conditions. Gasoline and diesel units must be refueled at a supply station on site which meets health and safety regulations.
