Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
The Genie DC and Bi-Energy equipment manufactured by Terex provide emission-free and quiet operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for instance, in industrial settings where the machine has to travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits and versatility of a diesel fueled generator with a 48 Volt DC machinery.
Some of the important features provided by this combination comprise out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete versatility. Furthermore, the zero tail-swing offered by nearly all units, combined with the tight turning radius provides easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
Proportional lift controls and drive controls also provide smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. The 48V DC electric drive system offers emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive settings. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an extra working range for particular jobs. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform that rotates 90 degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is ideal for industrial applications and outdoor construction applications. This particular model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine up, out and over positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach offered by this model is the best in the market.
Diesel engine machines on most modes have an articulating boom which provides zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These machinery are great in small or narrow locations. Moreover, they provide utmost power, excellent torque and terrain and grade maneuverability. The diesel engines are quiet in general as well. Most models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to provide great flexibility on surfaces which are uneven and rough.
High ground clearance is offered in 4 or 2 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom types are available and offer added range capabilities. On non-jib types, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models as well.
