In order to be a successful unit, a lift truck needs to be strong enough to last in all working environments for many hours of use. It needs to be able to transport loads effectively and quickly too. The machinery should also be ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator.
The Yale powertrain is reliable and rugged. It has to be strong enough to constantly deliver incredible strength through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It offers state-of-the-art clutch packs along with really tough shafts and robust gears. The transmission, engine, steer axle and drive are all isolated to decrease both vibration and noise inside of the operator's compartment.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
The Mazda LP and GM Gas Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These types of machinery provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that needs minimum repair or adjustment. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that reduce wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Within the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engines, a high compression ratio offers excellent torque. Incredible fuel consumption is provided by effective fuel systems.
Regular Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The standard Electronic Powershift Transmission features gears which are 15 percent stronger and shafts that maximize resistance to rough driving. The durable clutch packs offer 3 times the life of preceding packs. Last of all, there is electronic inching available which adjusts automatically in order to reduce maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system uses a computer-controlled power reversal which extends tire life, minimizes shock loading and increases durability. Furthermore, the auto deceleration feature reduces brake wear and brake pedal usage.
Drive Axle:
Designed for extra durability, the drive axle features its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the pinion gears and strong ring. This part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are practically maintenance free and completely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
In order to protect the steer cylinder for damage and debris, the Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design. This Steer Axle also has a fixed-length tie rods that could add more durability and stability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist side-to-side and front to back forces. Moreover, cast ductile iron axle reduces wear and increases toughness.
Yale had made lots of ergonomic features and safety features part of their standard packages. These types of machines will handle tough environments, while keeping the operator both comfortable and safe for the length of their shift.
