Classifications of Scissor Lifts & Aerial Lift Platforms
Scissor lifts and aerial platforms allow employees to work on elevated structures because they can reach many things and structures. These lifts provide friendly user controls which enable to independently operate the platform from the base. This allows the machinery to access objects. There are lots of lift designs available which are suitable for specific settings and applications.

Scissor Lift
The scissor lift utilizes a series of crisscrossed connected steel arms. These arms are designed to create an X patterned support system when the lift is raised vertically. Employees make use of a big rectangle platform which is attached to the top of the lifting mechanism. There are support railings along the edges to provide added protection.

Scissor lifts are great for pavement, hard and compact dirt surfaces and concrete since they feature a low profile. These machines utilize either a combustion engine or an electric motor to power the lifting device as well as the lift.

Rough Terrain Scissor Lift
Rough terrain scissor lifts make use of the same technology as the regular model of scissor lift. The rough terrain model differs in that it features a specific base that is designed for surfaces which are uneven. The rough terrain also provides a higher ground clearance and oversized all terrain tires. These units offer lower lifting heights overall because of the higher center of gravity of the machinery.

Telescopic Boom Lift
The telescopic boom lift offers a telescoping beam which rises both diagonally and vertically. This machine offers a small work platform equipped with controls to operate the boom. The controls make use of a combustion or an IC engine in order to power the hydraulics and lift the boom.

Articulating Boom Lift
An articulating boom lift has two telescopic booms that are attached with a moving elbow. This lifting machinery provides a small work platform or a bucket outfitted with hand controls which are utilized to control the boom. The articulating lift could reach over objects and on top of buildings.
